"Almost Dewey" State Invitational

What: Invitational High School Quiz Bowl Tournament
Where: Truman State University in Kirksville, MO
When: Sometime in the spring

The format of this tournament will be NAQT, a college format, which means: 4 players per team, 20 untimed tossups with accompanying tossups per round, powers (15 points for early buzz), and negs (-5 points for early interruption of moderator). Questions will be house-written by members of Truman's own Academic Competition Organization.

Pricing for this tournament is thus:
$50 for first team
$40 for all subsequent teams
$-5 per buzzer set
$-10 per 100 miles over 150 miles travelled, as determined by google maps.

$30 minimum.

Additionally, there will be a $10 surcharge for every team who wants copies of the packets used.


We are willing to be flexible with prices for teams that need to pay for overnight lodging or would like to come to the tournament but cannot otherwise afford to.

Team cap is tentatively set at 24 teams; the last day to sign up will be October 6, 2007, at 10 P.M. After that date, teams that sign up will be assessed a $15 fee per team entered.
